Resources for public library directors are organized in the menu across the top. MPLD meets twice per year and is very active in providing support and advocacy for Missouri public libraries.
All Missouri public library directors are encouraged to establish a good working relationship with the Missouri State Library and their staff. They are very knowledgeable and can be the best, first resource to answer any questions you may have or point you in the right direction. Missouri has an amazing community of public library directors and most are very willing to collaborate and share, but no single person can be the complete authority on all public library laws and policies.
The mission of the Missouri Public Library Hall of Fame is to recognize historically-significant contributions to the improvement of Missouri public libraries. Additionally, the Hall of Fame serves to educate librarians and the public about the tremendous foundation created by previous generations of Missouri public librarians.
